APA Citation Help
Nursing literature uses the APA Style for writing papers and citing sources of information. The following links will take you to help documents, some from the American Psychological Association website, that will help you with formating your work and citing your sources.
Here you can llink to information for beginners or for a brush up on APA style from a help page on the APA website.
This is a tutorial on The Basics of APA Style.
APA has posted some sample papers in APA Style.
The style manual has recently been revised. If you have used APA in the past and want to know what is new, you can read about What is New in the Sixth Edition.
Purdue University has an online guide for APA Style.
Academic Integrity
This tutorial is about academic integrity. It is a very important topic today on college campuses as the incidents of plagiarism and copyright violation have increased with the advent of the Internet and electronic information. You will learn what plagiarism is, both intentional and unintentional plagiarism, and how to avoid it in your academic writing. There is also an interesting history, a discussion of cultural perspectives, some examples of who has been accused of plagiarism, and a discussion on how technology affects the issue of plagiarism.
Notice the section on the WSU policy regarding academic dishonesty and other academic integrity issues.
